Electrical and Electronic Equipment and the Environment 2010:
Meeting the Technical and Regulatory Challenges
Cobham Technical Services’ well established Electrical and Electronic Equipment and the Environment Conference 2010 has come to be regarded as the single most important annual event for exchanging knowledge about environmental legislation and regulations. 2010 marks the 11th anniversary of the conference which will be taking place at the Sheraton Skyline Hotel, Heathrow, London, UK on 17-18 November 2010.
Why should you attend?
Some thoughts from previous delegates
Whether your background is domestic appliances or aerospace components the challenges faced are the same, as the legislation is constantly evolving, producing a morass of complex compliance requirements around the world. The task is enormous, keeping products safe, competitively priced and compliant, in a world of rapidly changing regulations. Since we met in 2009 the proposed recasts of the RoHS and WEEE directives have been the cause of much discussion, Ecodesign requirements have been extended from Energy using Products to include Energy Related Products, and the REACH registration deadline will be upon us towards the end of this year.
The eminent panel of speakers leading the discussion at this year’s conference are drawn from organisations which shape the legislation, the regulators who ensure it is complied with, legal firms who give advice on compliance and those in industry who demonstrate best practice for meeting the regulations and standards.
The conference attracts delegates from leading UK and international companies and is the one event in the year which is dedicated to providing a forum for discussing the effects of the plethora of environmental legislation that manufacturers and distributors need to comply with including Energy Related Products, RoHS, WEEE, REACH and Batteries.
